“Greauxing the Game”
Founded in 2017, Baton Rouge Area Youth Rugby introduces rugby to youth from kindergarten through high school, fostering leadership, communication, and teamwork. Certified coaches teach essential skills like ball handling, agility, and the rules of the game.
Beyond annual events like Summer Redfish and Winter “Ball” Fest, we collaborate with local schools and organizations, including Big Buddy Afterschool Programming, to expand rugby’s reach in communities like Scotlandville and Gardere. Our official pitch is at BREC Highland Road Community Park.

Catahoula 7’s
Come try this fast-paced, worldwide game and set
your sights on the ‘28 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. Everyone is a potential ball carrier and everyone plays defense.
For boys and girls ages 11-14, open to all skill levels, 15 minute games.

Louisiana Rugby, in partnership with NOLA Gold Rugby, is excited to announce a Flag Rugby Youth League for boys and girls ages 7-13. No prior experience is needed, and registration is just $95. Participants will have the unique opportunity to be coached by NOLA Gold players!

Join the Program
Two coed divisions: ages 5–8 and 9–14 (with a possible third group based on registration). Learn the basics of the game weekly from 6:00–7:00 PM.
Cost: $50 (includes insurance, jersey, and park fees).

USA Rugby Annual Youth Registration
Annual registration with USA Rugby is required to ensure player safety and compliance with regulations.
Registration
Create a free parent account, register your child, and select "New Orleans Youth" as your team. Registration is $25 annually and includes a CIPP number for tournament eligibility.
